First4Trainings Mental Health 1 day First Aid Course has been designed to give learners the key information they need to notice signs and symptoms in someone who is suffering with mental health, the course will also teach where to signpost when further mental health support is required as well as an understanding how to promote positive mental health.
Our Mental Health First Aid course is available to book at either of our locations in Poole or Salisbury. We have a number of dates available for April and May. Please call us to get booked in on 0330 174 2884.
The course will include:
• An understanding of Mental Health
• The stigma surrounding MH
• Who is at a higher risk of suffering from MH?
• Stress
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Suicide
• Other MH illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD and OCD
• Understanding empathy
• Understanding resilience
• Supporting positive Mental Health
Please note, this course covers subjects that some learners may find distressing, although a learner can leave the course at any time during the day, please consider whether you feel this course is appropriate for you before joining or give us a call to discuss if you have any queries on this.

Do you need any prior qualifications to attend this course?
No, no previous experience is required however to get the best out of this course we advise learners to have a good command of written and spoken English.
What facilities are available on site?
At First4Trainings brand new training centre we offer learners everything they need to successfully further their development. We have a fully qualified trainer, refreshment facilities, on-site parking, and fresh pastries on arrival. We ask that you bring your own lunch and we do have fridge space for you to keep this cool.
What is the maximum participant number?
To ensure COVID-19 safety within our training centre we accommodate up to 8 people per course. If you would like to find out more about training larger groups, please get in touch so we can support you.
